Orthognathic surgery of Dentofacial deformities is one of the most complicated treatment for most Orthodontic practitioners to handle, which requires a lot of precise treatment planning, and execution. This workshop will give a simplified step wise detailed enumeration of the various steps will make the participants understand the concept of surgical orthodontics.

At the end of the workshop. the participants will have a good knowledge on treatment planning of various surgeries including paper surgery, facebow transfer, model surgery & fabrication of splint. They would also get a brief idea about the steps involved in virtual treatment planning & 3D printing

This topic will cover the various diagnostic aids available for diagnosing a surgical case including cephalometry, use of CBCT & MRI in diagnosis

The topic will give a brief concept of surgery first, their indications, contraindications, advantages & disadvantages, Surgery First Vs Conventional

Virtual Surgical Planning (3D Planning)

A brief overview of the softwares used in virtual surgical planning, their uses & advantages of 3D planning

The Faculty will select 5 to 10 cases which the participants send beforehand & will demonstrate the treatment planning done to those patients
