Professor OP Kharbanda is the Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Deformities and CHIEF of the Centre for Dental Education and Research (CDER) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is Director of WHO Collaborating Centre and National Centre of Excellence on Oral Health Promotion (NOHP), Ministry of Health, Government of India & visiting Professor at the Universities of Sydney, Perth and La Trobe in Australia and has travelled and lectured in several countries across the globe. Dr Kharbanda is an astute clinician, dedicated teacher, a keen researcher besides an able team leader. Prof Kharbanda is an internationally known author, reviewer, and editor. He has published more than 170 papers including a Text Book “Diagnosis and Management of Malocclusion and Dentofacial Deformities” by Elsevier. He was instrumental in conceptualization and development of first indigenous digital cephalometric software DIGIceph and AutoCEPH and first collaborative software, CollabDDS, for diagnosis and dental education in the remote primary health centre. He pioneered in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Orthodontics and developed the world’s first automatic 3D cephalometric software using artificial intelligence (AI). He holds Patent for two such AI software algorithm, first one to achieve this milestone. Apart from this, Prof. Kharbanda has a great interest in Miniscrew implants, 3D printing, Cleft lip and palate, Non-compliant molar distalisation and Functional appliances. His work on clinical applications of MSI and automation in 3D imaging is widely known and cited.

Dr. Simon Graf has a specific interest in the translation of production of orthodontic appliances in the digital world. He started in the beginning of 2014 with a CAD/CAM-procedure for 3D metal printed rapid-palatal-expansion device (hyrax) directly from an intraoral scan. As soon he was able to establish a standardized protocol for this appliance, he continued to work on the herbst-appliance, lingual arch etc. and proceeded to bone-borne appliances. As the materials are evolving, he is now working on acrylic direct printed removable appliances. Also, he is involved in the development of self-designing appliance software.

Dr. Rajiv B has worked as an Assistant Professor in Dentistry at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and currently he is pursuing the prestigious two-year fellowship in Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics from CDER, AIIMS, New Delhi. He worked as a Senior Research Officer at AIIMS, New Delhi and closely associated with the development of CollabDDS software, an indigenous collaborative software for diagnosis and treatment planning in remote primary health centres. Also, he was part of a team which developed an automatic 3D cephalometric and airway analysis. He is highly knowledgeable and tech-savvy in computers and digital technology and has mastered 3D applications in Orthodontics. His areas of interest are Craniofacial Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Orthodontics, Biomechanics, and Craniofacial Growth &Development. He has various publications in national and international reputed and high impact journals and book chapters to his credit.
